What we're looking for is your story of how the economic changes of the last 10 years has effected you and your family's life. Give us the facts. Tell us about yourself, who you are and where you live. Tell us what happened and explain the sequence of events leading up to your current situation. Don't hesitate to also tell us how you feel about what has happened to you. Take as much space as you need, you're not limited to the length of the tale you can tell.

While we want you to tell your story, we're not interested in who you think is to blame. So, please, no finger pointing and no political rants. There are plenty of other political blogs available on the internet for those discussions. All we want is your story so others can know just how other people in this country are struggling to make it.

We would also like to hear your story if you're successfully dealing with the situation and making changes to your life because of what has happened.

Read Jim's Story for a good example of what we're looking for. If you've made changes that have been positive and lead you to a better place please tell us about it. It may help to inspire others.

You must register and create an account with our site before you can submit a story. You will find a "Create an Account" link at the bottom of the left-hand column.

After you have registered with the site you will receive a confirmation email with a link to activate your account. You MUST activate your account before you can log in as a member. This proves to us that your email is valid and that we can contact you. When you create an account and log in, you'll see a Member Links menu with a Submit a Story link that take you to a page that contains a form where you can type in and/or upload your story. When you submit your story it will be reviewed by a member of our staff. By submitting a story to us you agree to allow our staff member to contact you to verify your identity and any details of the story submitted. We want to make certain that these are real stories from real Americans. You further allow us to edit your story as we see fit. However, we will NOT publish an edited story without your permission.
